Selisse Berry

Founder of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates

Selisse Berry is the Founder of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates. Since 1996, Selisse has built the Global LGBT Workplace Equality movement by creating a network of multi-national companies and federal agencies to work toward LGBT education, empowerment, and visibility.

When Selisse founded Out & Equal, less than 4% of Fortune 500 companies had LGBT protections. Through her tireless efforts 96% of companies now protect their LGBT employees. In the past 20 years, Selisse’s work has impacted more than 40 million people in over 50 countries. Selisse has been awarded with honors from universities, corporations, media institutions, and legislators around the world. Selisse is the editor of Out & Equal at Work and the namesake of the San Francisco Business Times Selisse Berry Legacy Leadership Award. Selisse lives in San Francisco with her wife, Cynthia.

Pedro Pina

VP Global Client & Agency Solutions at Google

Pedro Pina is a Portuguese-born marketer who has lived and worked outside of Portugal throughout his 20+ year career.

Pedro joined Google in 2013 as Global Client Partner for Google’s Global Client and Agency Solutions Team, overseeing Google’s deep engagement with some of the biggest advertisers around the world and their respective media/creative agencies.

Prior to joining Google, Pedro was EVP and Global Brands Director at McCann Worldgroup responsible for global brand strategy and marketing communications for several of McCann’s most iconic brand clients, including Coca-Cola, MasterCard and Unilever.

Previous roles include: CEO of Clix (Sonae/France Telecom’s ISP in Portugal), Marketing Director of PepsiCo Restaurants (later renamed Yum brands) in Sao Paulo and Miami where he was responsible for the Pizza Hut brand for Latin America, and 6 years at P&G in London and Lisbon, working as a European Brand Manager for various health and beauty care brands.

Pedro has an MBA from INSEAD, Paris.

Pedro is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Universidade Catolica Portuguesa and a Board member of Serralves - a Contemporary Art Museum and Foundation in Oporto.

Richard Sypniewski

CEO & Managing Director, SAGIN, LLC

Richard has over 29 years of consulting experience and the CEO of SAGIN, LLC, headquartered in Chicago. SAGIN works with Fortune 500 companies as well as supports many nonprofit and mid-sized technology operations. Richard obtained his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and his BS from Northern Illinois University. Richard is a member of the Executives Club of Chicago, licensed CPA and APIC’s certified. In addition to providing the firm’s executive leadership, Richard focuses a significant amount of his time serving clients leading strategy development, technology deployments, data strategies and process improvements. On a personal level Richard is passionate about Human Rights and equality. He started SAGIN’s E3 fund which donates 15% of profits to organizations supporting Equality, Education and the Environment. He is an avid triathlete and has participated and raise money for HIV/AIDs, Equality and rode in the Aids Life Cycle Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles (545 miles over 7 days) twice! Growing up in a working middle class neighborhood of Chicago, he was raised by his father with two sisters and after losing his mother at the age of 3 to cancer. Today Richard not only leads a professional services firm he created, he is also releasing a consumer mobile app called CityLvn allowing people to discovery and explore their city and connect with fun events and venues. Richard also developed his own drag character “Wendy Sitti” which he continually performs to raise money for causes supporting equality. Richard has also competed in the triathlon in two Gay Games with the third coming in August 2018 in Paris.

Joel A Brown, Esq., CLC

Chief Visionary Officer of Pneumos LLC

Joel A. Brown is the Chief Visionary Officer of Pneumos LLC, a management consulting and coaching company based in San Francisco, USA, specializing in cultural intelligence, leadership, and organizational strategy. As a change agent, Joel works strategically with organizational leaders to cultivate innovative, creative, and adaptive environments where the cultural genius of everyone can be harnessed and leveraged successfully.

Best known for his critical analysis, creativity, humor, and his ability to build consensus, Joel has partnered with Fortune 500 Companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies to help them achieve sustained growth and organizational breakthroughs. His clients have ranged from LinkedIn to the United Nations, and his “sweet spots” have included men’s leadership, storytelling and personal narratives, workplace dialogue, and cultural intelligence.

Joel is a member of several international think tanks, including D2K, the Diversity Collegium, SIETAR, and the Global Community Dialogue. He is also an Expert Panelist with the Global Diversity & Inclusion Benchmarks and certified in the Cultural Detective suite of intercultural tools. Joel is a visiting professor at the IESEG school in France, and is a nationally recognized spoken word artist in the United States. Joel is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and the Virginia School of Law, and received his doctorate in Leadership from Saint Mary’s College in May 2018.

Marta Fernández Herraiz

Founder of LesWorking & Co-General Director of REDI (Red Empresarial por la Diversidad e Inclusión LGBT in Spain)

Marta Fernández Herraiz is the founder of LesWorking, the first international professional network for lesbian women, with more than 1.300 women from Spain and Latinamerica. She is also member of the board of the European Lesbian* Conference and coordinator of REDI, the first professional network to promote LGTB diversity and inclusion in the workplace in Spain.

Kika Fumero and Marta F. Herraiz conducted a research in 2017 about lesbian women that had more than 5,000 participants in the Spanish version of the questionnaire and more than 1.500 participants in the French version. The conclusions were presented at several forums, such as Madrid World Pride 2017, the 1st European Lesbian* Conference in Vienna and the European Parliament.

Marta has double degree in Law and Business Administration and a MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School. She worked in business and strategic consulting for 10 years in Spain and Latinamerica before focusing in LGBT diversity and lesbian community development.

Luisa Ercoli

Global Diversity & Inclusion Manager for Barilla

Luisa Ercoli is Global Diversity & Inclusion Manager for Barilla, a family-owned Italian food company based in Parma, a small town at the heart of Italy’s food valley. In this role, she partners with and supports the Barilla D&I Board to drive programs that integrate diversity and inclusion into the Company business and to work with all involved regions and countries on D&I initiatives.

Luisa graduated in Political Sciences from LUISS in Rome and then completed an MBA program. She started her career in 1994 at La Perla Group as Art Buyer, then joined Ralph Lauren working within the Advertising Department. After this experience in the Fashion Industry, she joined the brand Durex and started to develop her skills in the Marketing Area. In 1998 she joined Ducati Motor Holding. Those were the years of the advent of the internet and Luisa enthusiastically embraced the opportunities coming from the digital marketing world and in 2008 took over the role of Web Marketing Manager for Ducati.

Luisa started at Barilla in 2009 as Digital Communication and Marketing Manager, then after two years she was appointed Corporate Digital communication Manager and then Global Social Media Manager. At the end of 2013, the Company Chairman Guido Barilla made insensitive comments about not featuring LGBTQ families in company advertisements. It was time to pause, reflect and seize the moment to learn about, grow and foster inclusivity--not only for the Company but also for herself. Luisa was then asked to join the newly formed Global D&I Board, which has worked for the last 5 years to foster more diversity and inclusion in the company.

Luisa is also very passionate about work-life balance, being a single mum of two children. As the experts say, the compounding stress from a long workday can be damaging without the right support from the company, family and friends. This is why she believes in the power of Employee Resource Groups, focusing the energy that can come from all employees at the company. With the commitment and teamwork of her colleagues, they are working together to achieve noticeable improvements in balance, inclusion and equality.

Santiago Iñiguez

Executive President of IE University & Chair of AACSB

Santiago Iñiguez de Onzoño is the President of IE University and a recognized influencer in global higher education. Iniguez is also the Vice-Chairman of Headspring, a company owned by the Financial Times and IE Business School providing custom education programs for companies worldwide.

Iniguez is the former Dean of IE Business School and has played a leading role in business education. He was portrayed by the Financial Times as “one of the most significant figures in promoting European business schools internationally”. He was the first European appointed as “Dean of the Year” by Poets & Quants (2017).

He serves on the boards of EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), Renmin University Business School (China), Antai Business School (Jiao Tong University, China), LUISS Business School (Italy), Mazars University (France) and FGV-EASP Fundaçao Getulio Vargas (Brazil). He is a past Chair of the Board of AACSB.

He is the author of “The Learning Curve: How Business Schools Are Reinventing Education” (2011), “Cosmopolitan Managers: Executive Education That Works” (2016), as well as co-editor of “Business Despite Borders: Companies in the Age of Populist Anti-Globalization” (2018), all published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Iniguez is a regular speaker at international conference and frequently contributes in different journals and media on higher education and executive development. He is one of the 500 Global LinkedIn Influencers.

Iniguez is Professor of Strategic Management. He holds a Degree in Law, a Ph.D. in Moral Philosophy and Jurisprudence (Complutense University, Spain) and an MBA from IE Business School. He was a Recognized Student at the University of Oxford, UK.

Hyung Hak Nam

President of UN-GLOBE of the United Nations

Hyung Hak Nam is the President of UN-GLOBE, the group representing lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex employees of the UN system. As President of UN-GLOBE, his aim is to change minds and attitudes in the UN system, and to push the UN to be front and center in the fight for equality and inclusion for people of diverse sexual and gender identities everywhere. He coordinates over 50 representatives around the world, and liaises with working level and senior leaders of the UN system in order to implement internal change.

Charles Myers

Chairman of Signum Global Advisors

Charles Myers is the Chairman of Signum Global Advisors, a strategic policy advisory firm based in New York and London. He was most recently Vice Chairman of Evercore ISI and a member of Evercore ISI's Executive Committee and Investment Policy Committee, and was the founding partner of Evercore's Institutional Equities business in 2009.

Prior to Evercore, Charles was a Board Member and Managing Director of Fox-Pitt Kelton, which he joined in 2004. He held a number of senior positions during his tenure, and as Global Head of Equities, was responsible for research, sales and trading of all equities products across the United States, Europe and Asia. Charles has over 25 years experience in global capital markets, having worked previously at UBS.

Charles serves on the Board of Trustees of the Central Park Conservancy, the Board of the Mayor's Fund for NYC, and previously served on the NYC Host Committee for the 2016 Democratic Convention. He also has over 20 years experience in US electoral politics, having advised numerous presidential, congressional, gubernatorial and mayoral campaigns. He served as a senior member of the Finance Committees of the 2008 and 2012 Obama Presidential campaigns as well as the 2016 Hillary Clinton for President campaign.

An American citizen, Charles grew up in Libya, Peru and Indonesia, has a B.A. from Amherst College in Massachusetts and a post-graduate M. Phil degree from Cambridge University in England. He lives in New York City with his four children.
